Sylvie Ayrault was born and raised in the theatre. Her family lived and worked in the Theatre d'Angers in her native region of France. There, she was exposed to the performing arts, including opera, dance and musical theatre from a very young age.
Since 1986 she has been working at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris where she is wardrobe master and dresser. Before joining the Theatre du Chatelet she worked as a dresser for ARCAL, the Opera Garnier (the famous Paris opera house) and the Festival de Paris.
She has worked with thousands of performers and has developed a keen sensitivity to their needs onstage.

Christel Desjardin brings to the partnership the technical expertise she gained at the prestigious "Ecole de a la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, where she studied clothing construction and fashion design.
She was trained in the technique "one piece" by Genevieve Sevin-Doering, the designer who pioneered it.
She has an extensive education in both visual and performing arts, with a special concentration in voice.
